I should know, I’ve been spending part of every summer in Antibes for almost the last decade, and my first stop is always Gelateria del Porto.

Besides having tons of lovely fresh fish, you’ll also find a great wine list and wonderful service.
This is a local gem for good reason, everything here is so fresh, and the service is amazing.

Bistro Chez Jules offers a cozy atmosphere with classic seasonal French bistro dishes, as well as delicious pastas.
This is one of my favorite dinner spots in Antibes.
All the vegetables they serve are hand grown on their farm and fresh, and the staff are always so nice.

If you’re looking for the best mussels in town, head to one of my favorite lunch spots, Café Milo.
For a while this September my ex and I were there almost every afternoon for lunch.
We’d spend hours sitting on the terrace in the sunshine talking, laughing, and making friends with the other tables.
Their mussels are seriously addictive, especially when paired with a cheeky glass of vino. That was always our go-to order.
If mussels aren’t your thing, don’t worry, everything I’ve seen looks great.
And the crepes are fantastic if you catch them between lunch and dinner service.

If you’re craving Italian, one of the most popular spots to head is Nacional Trattoria.
In fact, it’s my dad’s favorite place to go when he visits.
They have a bunch of delicious pasta and pizza dishes, as well as some solid seafood options.

This spot quickly became my ex and my go-to spot for takeaway.
Once a week we’d grab pizzas and a bottle of wine then go to our secret spot to have a romantic sunset picnic overlooking the Mediterranean.
Bacchus is also great dining in. The staff are great and the cocktails and delicious.
Plus, their risotto, which we used to get all the time, is delicious especially on cooler days.

Spend your Saturday night savoring Mexican street food and people watching along Antibes’ strip.
Besides actually having spicy food (a rarity in France), they also do a great espresso martini.
Their guacamole is also a classic to munch on if you want something light with drinks.

It’s super cute and right in the middle of Old Town, making it great for people watching.

Local’s Tip: Right up the street you’ll find some of the best gelato in the world at Gelateria del Porto, so save room for dessert!
The most charming place in town to unwind with a glass of wine is Le Cafe Brun.
They have a menu filled with expertly prepared French dishes, delicious cocktails, and amazing desserts.
This is one of my favorite summer date night spots.
My ex and I snag a table on the terrace and share a bottle of rose while indulging in their amazing burgers.
They also have a really fresh tomato and mozzarella salad.
Or sometimes we’d just end up there after one of our evening strolls, for some late night for drinks and people watching.

There’s plenty of beautiful outdoor space at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and if you’ve chosen a restaurant in Old Town Antibes, get ready to be totally charmed walking around at night.
Local’s Tip: If you have room left for dessert, hit up Gelateria del Porto before heading out on your romantic stroll. I’ve tried a ton of gelato from all over the world while traveling, and their gelato is the best I’ve ever tasted!

It depends on the cuisine you choose, but many of Antibes’ restaurants offer dishes to accommodate a diverse dietary preferences. I eat vegetarian a lot of the time and have never had any issues finding options.
While not always necessary, it’s a good idea to make reservations if they offer them, especially during peak seasons or at popular restaurants.
For example, one restaurant you shouldn’t miss, Chez Jules, is so busy during the summer that you almost always need a reservation to get in.
